I fully believe in God. Something had to create this world and everything in it. The bible wouldn't have survived all these years if it wasn't true and I think that God saw to it that his book is so widely distributed for us all to learn and grow on. I like the way Pagans respect the environment, strive to connect with nature and find joy in expressing themselves openly. Those are things everyone should have and feel inside of them. I dont agree with the idea of there being no 'good vs evil' and reincarnation. Of course there is good and evil in this world, and they act amongest themselves daily. Yes, when you choose to do evil it is fundamentally you acting, but your acting on a temptation presented to you through Satan, who represents evil. Satan fights against God, who is trying to win people over onto his side because it is the path that will find you an eternal resting place with him in heaven. Your not going to have a second chance to make your life right. Reincarnation does not exist. It's all very much like star wars.

I respect Christian's devotion- but now that I think about it, all religions require some devotion. I just remember being Catholic (the strictest branch of Christianity), and how much time it took in my life.
I still have to say a prayer at dinner(which I feel horrible about because idon't mean it and it's just another wasted prayer. . .) because my parents don't know I'm Pagan.

i have never been Catholic, and probly wont be, i dont really fall under a subcatogory of Christianity, my family simply belives in God, and that the only afterlife, is in Heaven, and that in order to get to Heaven u must have faith, well and then things in the Bible, but were pretty basic ..... and i dont get how it relates to star wars, since i dont really watch any of them, but basically everything DF said, is about the same to wat i belive in

Her belief relates to Star Wars like this: There is good, and there is evil. Two different forces and all. Dark and light, god and bad, etc. Am I right?

I want to get in on this poll, for one I like to put my opinion out there. I believe in a higher being, a god, somewhat. Well, I guess that is about it. I lost my faith in the rest about 2 years ago. The official name for my beliefs is Agnosticism. I'm Agnostic, which is nothing like Atheism. Though my best friend is Atheist, we don't push our beliefs on each other. And yes, it is kind of hard on me with family. My grandmother is a die hard Baptist, and is trying to get everyone to go back to church. And I feel somewhat guilty because the first thought in my head was, 'I'm gone in one year, wait till then please!' Before I came to my beliefs now, I was Baptist. I was raised that way and I was Baptised when I was only months old. Which I believe is complete stupidity on adults part. You don't know the word of God, or whatever so how can you give your life over to him? I just never understood that.
I pulled up wikipedia, and the best form of Agnosticism that descibes my beliefs is Weak Agnosticism. Here's a small clip of it....
'Weak agnosticism, or empirical agnosticism (also negative agnosticism), is the belief that the existence or nonexistence of deities is currently unknown, but is not necessarily unknowable, therefore one will withhold judgment until more evidence is available.
Weak agnosticism is in contrast to strong agnosticism, in which the agnostic believes that the existence of any gods is not only unknown, but is also unknowable to humanity. Neither type of agnosticism is fully irreconcilable with theism (belief in a deity or deities) nor strong atheism. A weak agnostic who also considers themselves a theist is likely in a state of doubt, though they are not necessarily having a crisis of faith. Weak agnosticism often overlaps with, and is often confused with, weak atheism, as both are a lack of belief rather than a belief in lack (of either knowledge or existence, respectively).'
So till I die I guess I won't know for sure if my beliefs are true or not.
