I was curious, because we were discussing it in Mr. Henry's class this morning, since it was on Channel 1. I think that kids should have the sense not to- in the first place- do something that they would regret. And secondly if they do do something they regret, they shouldn't post it on their blog Moron. But I do think parents get a little overprotective about posting our pictures and our feelings there. The argument is that someone might see it. . .no shit. Kids are aware that what they post on the internet is punishable by law. They aren't idiots and they *know* what they're doing. That's the whole point of blogging- communication. We *want* people to see our feelings, our ideas, and ourselves. We want the world to see who we really are. But I don't reallt think any adult in school has the right to look at what we feel. . .it's none of their business. They are there to teach us, and that's it in my opinion. Sure you can be friends with your teachers and everything, and if they want a link to a post you made or whatever, then that's just dandy, but I don't think anyone should go snooping. For Christsakes, if you want to know something about your student, *ask* them first.

Yeah I agree. I dont think anyone really has the right to but then again if you don't want someone to read your blog, keep it offline so people can't get to it. I can understand why they do but...I dont know i dont think its very fair

I don't really think it's fair. unless they had reason to suspect something was wrong i definately think they should talk to the kid first. their blog is sorta them and their friends. I sorta get mad when my dad wants to read what i write. It's not like im writing bad stuff its just my friends and i talk about stuff he doesn't care about. plus, kids talk about things they don't want other kids parents to know so idk i think itsrather silly especially for teachers i mean...its juist....no

I feel like I'm a bit more. . .*open*, about myself, on the internet. And I don't mind that. Most people seem to want to keep their opinions to themselves, because any thoughts they have could disrupt the pattern of life they've made. I've started to notice that what's cool now is indifference. Kind of like the cheese at lunch. It's. . ."We don't care about you. We sit here. We stare indifferently." I think that's the general attitude anymore. No one's really open about themselves, and that's the opportunity that blogging gives us.
